Host engaging fun meetings that get to the point with staff quality scores, client stick rates by employee, number of auditions won, staff award level numbers, the company’s number of days since the last recurring client cancellation due to quality and other numbers that make things clear about what everyone is shooting for. Make the targets clear and you will get everyone more self-motivated to improve the business with every scrub. More efficiency will mean more profitability.
Prioritize Planning Time – You spend a lot of time all week doing various things, but not everything that you do pays off like it should. For example, you could spend the week texting back and forth with your staff, or you could spend your time analyzing your recruits over the last year and develop a new employer branding that makes you attract 5 times more qualified recruits. Taking the time to work on the “important” and plan out a different strategy is difficult to find the time, but wow, the impact that one week has on your business and your profit is so much more powerful.
Manage Your Time in 2 Week Sprints – As entrepreneurs most of us have a list of things that we want to do in our businesses that is 10 times longer than we could ever do. The time-management method works on the principle that you focus on a task for 25 minutes and then take a break for five minutes. It works like this: (1) write down the task, (2) set the timer for 25 minutes, (3) focus only on that task for 25 minutes, (4) and then take a five minute break. Repeat no more than 4 times. Studies show you will be twice as productive as you would be multi-tasking or more! When you are twice as productive with the time you spend, you will have more spare time to deep think about how to be more profitable.
